HSR Layout is a startup town inside a residential one. Sectors 1 to 7 hold a heavy concentration of small companies and their founders alongside families who have lived here since the layout was young, with Agara lake at one edge and 27th Main running through the middle of the cafe and office belt. What HSR does not have is space, which is why weekends here so often turn into a search for somewhere with a lawn and a pool. Gold Coins Club & Resort is about twenty kilometres south at Andapura, off Huskur Road in Electronic City Phase II. The route is simple and, crucially, mostly elevated: out to Hosur Road at Bommanahalli or Silk Board, up onto the Electronic City Elevated Expressway, off at Phase II and east to the resort. Outside peak that is around forty minutes. It serves both halves of HSR equally well. A twelve-person startup can run an offsite in the banquet hall and lawns, and a family can spend Sunday at the pool and rain dance. There are also indoor and outdoor games, a restaurant, bar and 59 rooms.

The route
From HSR Layout, come out onto Hosur Road at Bommanahalli or via Silk Board, then take the Electronic City Elevated Expressway south. Exit at Electronic City Phase II, turn east onto Huskur Road and continue to Andapura. Roughly twenty kilometres in all.
